Ouderkerk Sloepverhuur

As a birthday present to my 97-year-old mother-in-law, my brother-in-law, and my wife, we took an hour and a half boat trip from Voetangel, where we'd had lunch, along a section of the Ronde Hoep canal back to Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, past the village center and across narrow bridges. It was a pleasant, varied trip on an already beautiful day. Along the way, the skipper told us about the history of the polders and the origins of Ouderkerk, Amstelveen, and Amsterdam. It's an absolute must-see to explore from the water.

George was very friendly, told us so many interesting historical facts for Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, Utrecht, Amstelveen and Amsterdam. He let us steer the boat, it was such an amazing experience for my son's birthday. We took drinks and food on the boat. George made us beautiful family photos while we were on the boat. Very enjoyable trip on the river Amstel. I highly recommend it. Definitely worth it.

Great boat trips

We had a wonderful time with the Ouderkerk Sloepverhuur! We rented the Antaris size boat for a tour from the picturesque Ouderkerk to Amsterdam (and back) with skipper. It was an amazing experience! Our skipper, George (the owner), is very knowledgeable of the local area and we learned a lot about the local history. It was as if we went back in time. We went all the way into Amsterdam center and back. We brought our own food and you can also have it catered. Or, you can first eat at one of the wonderful restaurants in Ouderkerk (or afterwards!). One can also rent the boat without skipper and explore the area. Don't forget your camera! Highly recommended!
